| | | | This is Tamarindo, a truly exceptional 24ft Skipjack Flybridge.
These boats were built like tanks; they handle the elements much better than any other 24ft boat.
The Tamarindo was set up as a mini-yacht, with radar, added water tanks, over-size/built swimstep which has been used to carry a jetski and inflatable skiff with a 6hp outboard.
They have a nice galley, an 8 ft. v-berth (massive bed that is super comfortable) which converts into a table and seats 4 - 5 people and a head that is NOT under the bunk (if you have this you know how annoying this is).
There is a mini fridge and sink in the galley.
Tamarindo has a bench seat on the bridge which is great for sleeping a guest and a large lounge cushion on the aft deck over the engine box; a good spot for a couple of more guests (if you are into entertaining).
Built in underwater lights are a nice perk while chilling at Isthmus or Avalon to view the nightlife.
Then, the Tamarindo was turned into more of a mini-Yacht-fisher.
There has been a 40 gal bait tank added recently which has been great for a day of Mahi fishing or hitting the island for the weekend.
There are 6 trolling rod holders and 12 rocket launcher/ rod holders on the stainless arch.
Trolling off the East end of the island or out at the offshore banks while in the bridge spotting kelp patties, birds diving or tuna boils through the binos is a dream.
I personally suck at rod and reel fishing so I typically hop in the water with the spear gun.
The massive swim step makes this so easy, especially if there are multiple divers.
The Tamarindo has Vortec chevy 350 which had been installed in 2019 and pers like a kitten.
The Volvo 280 outdrive is an older model but, like the boat, were built like tanks and designed to stand the test of time.
Just change the oil regularly and you are good to go.
The engine is a high torque gas engine which paired with the Volvo outdrive pushes the Tamarindo through the sea even when loaded up with friends and weekend supplies.
This boat has also towed wakeboarders on occasion (although it is not designed as a wakeboard boat for those wake snobs).
The engine gets flushed with fresh water and “Salt Away” every time.
They are a safe, reliable, sea-going boat that you could weekend-on or fish!
Being only 24ft this boat is easily trailerable to your local marina or take it on a bit more of an adventure to San Diego or Santa Barbara for the weekend.
