| | | | 1-This C&C is a rare TR (Tall Rig) her mast is 10 feet taller than std C&C's,Her sail area to displacement is 29 and 32 with the large asymmetrical sail This compares to the 17 -21 ratio of most other sailboats-She easily sails in double speed numbers,On a voyage from Leamington, Canada back to Lorain, she made the 55 mile voyage in 4 hours, reaching 16 knots at times-Since I bought her in 2002, no sailboat can keep up, including catamarans.
2-Never had a survey done, but she is sound and in near-Bristol condition.
3-The North Sails and main and 155 Genoa are crisp and only a few years old-In addition, I have three other headsails, a storm sail, a 120 head sail, and a huge asymmetrical reaching gennaker.
4-The two B&G sailing instruments were replaced two years ago and all wiring was replaced from the bulkhead to the mast head-All the sensors at the masthead were replaced, as were the steaming and deck lights-In addition, all topside lights are now LEDs., greatly reducing the current drain while sailing.
5-Upgrades include a new mainsail cover, new cockpit cushions, all of which are matching blue with white piping, a custom treated wood non slip floor in the cockpit, and solar powered vent fans in both hatches.
The 3 cylinder Yanmar diesel has new thermostats, new zincs, and always had Mobil One synthetic engine oil.
I replaced the fresh water pump and added a second fresh water filter,All water and fuel hoses are new-A water separating Raycor filter is now in the fuel line.
6-Although I was planning to keep the boat "forever", declining health is reluctantly forcing me to sell her.
7-Yes!
I have detailed lists of maintenance records going back for years, all manuals of the extensive equipment, a comprehensive list of all specifications and equipment, many charts, up to date flares, a dock box, two-piece winter cover, MOB pole, photos of the cabin, three boat hooks, many life vests, spare parts, including a water pump impeller, a joker valve for the head, containers of screws, bolts, and hose clamps, extra fenders, dock lines, two 100' shore power cables, tool box with English and metric sizes, and three new batteries.
8-I have a thick package that includes a photo of the boat on her steel cradle.
Also, the package includes a Water Tender 9.8 dinghy, a low hours Mercury outboard, and oars, plus a folding 12 foot ladder to reach the deck while on her cradle.
She is fully winterized and is in sail away condition come spring.
I entered my sailing club's Regatta and easily won all five events.
One Regatta involved a 6.6 mile course from Edgewater Yacht Club to the offshore Crib that we won by 45 minutes because she makes good speed upwind at 30 degrees to the apparent wind, allowing me to sail directly to the crib while the rest of the fleet was forced to tack many times.
