Malolo is truly an amazing yacht.
Beautiful flowing lines, bright comfortable light cherry-wood interior.
An absolute joy to sail.
I frequently sail her by myself, comfortably in up to 20 knots of wind.
I have had her up on a plane with just the #4 and a reef in the main doing 13 to 15 knots in 28-30 knots of wind single handed.
I've averaged 10.25 knots from LA Light to Avalon and 9.22 knots from LA Light to Ship Rock (2:09 and 2:04 respectfully) that's single handed with the auto helm driving 95% of the way.
I can leave the dock with the Main up and return.
I can put the boat on a mooring single handed.
Of course it is easier if there is a competent second or more persons on board. PHRF RATING -36; it is my opinion she will sail to that rating with a competent, regular crew, with just the existing sails.
